I ran from one destination to another destination, took cab to another destination, ran back to the original destination, went up and down of the building. I have to be there on time and within the specific time. I never experience that my legs can be so tired and weak.
Haha... This is my 1st time I experience such a day, so dramatic. Quite funny though. Keke...

公主嫁到 (Can't Buy Me Love) Series
I have just finished watching 公主嫁到 (Can't Buy Me Love) final episode. It's so nice.
I like the princess character. She is witty, caring, sweet, lovely and smart. She cares and love her husband (prince), dad, sisters and in-laws a lot.
She always writes motivational and inspirational quotes on "dragonfly papers" every year of September and those "dragonfly papers" fly to her prince. The prince has been picking them up for years. However, both of them first met each other in a fight. As time goes by, they got to know each other more and the relationship developed. Later, they realized that they were destined to be together because the prince has been picking up those "dragonfly papers" that the princess had been letting it fly. The prince love all the motivational and inspirational quotes that the princess has been writing because they are motivating and inspiring him. So sweet! (^_^)
I also have motivational and inspirational quotes on this blog and have been writing them before this HK drama. Can I consider that I'm like her? Hehe... :P *Blush Blush*

Spanish Passion
I just happened to see a Spanish passion truck.
Food
+
Wine
+
Pastry
+
Bakery
These words were beautifully designed on the truck. It's such a coincidence! Hehe... ^_^
I learnt Spanish... (^_~)
I'm going to learn bakery, pastry and food... (0_o)
I have been wanted to learn wine appreciation. Two years ago, my friend learnt wine appreciation at Community Centre. She said that it was pretty good. The instructor is from NUS, specialise in something I can't remember. :P I got to find out the schedule of the class. After I learn it, I can apply it on my cooking. Yippee! (^_^)v

Nat Geo Adventure - Don't Tell My Mother
I like watching "Don't Tell My Mother". This tv programme is so exploratory. Diego went to a lot of countries that we would less likely to go. And he is remarkably brave.
Don't Tell My Mother I'm in Afghanistan
Don't Tell My Mother I'm In Iraq ( iraqi metal bands ) brutal impact and dog faced corpse

True Colors
I like "True Colors" song. I was a very shy and simple girl in the past. This song lyrics has woken me up.
You with the sad eyes
don't be discouraged
oh I realize
it's hard to take courage
in a world full of people
you can lose sight of it all
and the darkness inside you
can make you fell so small
But I see your true colors
shining through
I see your true colors
and that's why I love you
so don't be afraid to let them show
your true colors
true colors are beautiful
like a rainbow
Show me a smile then
don't be unhappy, can't remember
when I last saw you laughing
if this world makes you crazy
and you've taken all you can bear
you call me up
because you know I'll be there
And I'll see your true colors
shining through
I see your true colors
and that's why I love you
so don't be afraid to let them show
your true colors
true colors are beautiful
like a rainbow
I like it sing by Olivia Ong. The original singer is Cyndi Lauper. Both of them have their styles in singing "True Colors". I prefer Olivia because she has a very gentle, soothing, sweet and peaceful voice. Cyndi has a very nice voice too. She has a vocal pitch of her own, deep and sexy. I guess maybe Olivia is Singaporean, she has a vocal that sound so close to me or Singapore. =)

Germany & Paris, Year End Holiday 2011
I hope that I can go Germany and Paris with "Miss Black" (her nickname on MSN, she always says she likes black, my witty friend ^_^) at the end of this year.
We would be going to Germany's Christmas market. There are a lot of things to see, discover, eat and drink. Haha... :D
Of course not to forget Berlin Wall and many other attractions! :D
On New Year Eve, we would go to Paris to see the Eiffel tower light up. We want to see all the beautiful lighting decorations across Paris city. (^v^)
Oh no, I can't wait to go there now. Haha... (^.^)

公主嫁到 - Can't Buy Me Love
For past 1 year or more, I had not watched any HK drama. I happened to see 公主嫁到 (Can't Buy Me Love) commercial at Starhub Cable TV Channel 855 and found out that it is a comedy drama. I have been watching it. It is very humorous. I love it a lot. It makes me HAHAHAHAHA! Keke... (^v^) Beside its' hilarious, the show also tells viewers that money can't buy you love. You can be materialistic and have everything but you will not find happiness.
公主嫁到 - 1st episode, not complete though
公主嫁到-齊心展愛心(HD)陳豪,佘詩曼, 鍾嘉欣, 黃浩然, 陳法拉, 馬國明
(I'm watching it in Mandarin, not Cantonese. I'm not good at it. :P)
Beatles has a "Can't Buy Me Love" song. (^_^)

Like I always say to myself:
Happy is always forever. Happy is always long-lasting.
Smile, Laugh and be Cheerful.
If something bad happens to you, you just have to smile, laugh out loud and stay cheerful. =)
Even if you fall or fail badly at certain stage of your life, you still have to smile, laugh out loud and stay cheerful. =)

I wish that I could cook the following foods:
1. Japanese
2. French
3. Italian
4. HK
5. Macau
6. Chinese
7. Taiwanese
8. Thai
9. Peranakan
10. Indonesia
11. Korean
12. Indian
Hahahaha... I'm so greedy. I don't know whether I can do it or not. But if I can do it, it will be nice. Yummy! :P
Adventurous sports:
1. Sky diving
2. Suba diving
3. Snookering
4. Hot air ballon
5. Ice skiing
These few lists should be achievable. As long as I go on holiday trip, I can join their sports activities. Especially Suba diving and snookering at Great Barrier Reef. (^.^)

Papers, Courses, Workshops
Last year, I took one Java and one investment papers. Then, I took up Business English Skills courses. Can I say that I am working very hard in building myself better? Hehe...
Early this year, I took up Spanish course. In a few weeks time, I'm going to attend my cupcakes workshop. After that, I would be attending more cooking classes. Hehe... (^_^)
I'm wondering whether I should continue my Spanish course. I only attended one term. Before I signed up for Spanish course, I had heard a lot of people told me that you would forget what you have learnt after not using it. It's true! It's just like what I had learnt during my school term, I have forgotten most of it. :P I guess human memory works all the same. If you don't use it that often, you will forget it. I remember I read one article on that. But my interest in taking up foreign language just don't allow me not to try it out. Keke... XD
According to some websites, Spanish is the 3rd or 4th most widely used language in the world. This is the reason why I chose to take up Spanish than any other languages. I can use it if I happened to travel to Spanish speaking countries.
Hmmm... Whether to continue my Spanish course, I think I'll see how it goes. Hehe... :P

A Sad Story
I bumped into my friend at a shopping mall. I was happy for her with her recent news. However, thing doesn't turn out to be that way. She does not seem to be as happy as I have been seeing her on the Facebook. Many things have been happening over her side. I felt so sorry for her and consoled her. No one can help her but only herself. I hope that everything will turn good for her and wishing her all the best. :)
Gal, if you happened to see my blog, don't worry, I wouldn't tell a soul. Remember, look on the bright side and believe yourself that you can do it. =)

General Election 2011
I don't like to post any General Election news or latest updates. It's too political and would rise controversial. Anyway, voting should keep it to yourself. Shhh... (.__.)
I found this on Facebook.
Is my vote really secret?
Though I said that I don't like to post any GE news, I like this article. And I want to archive it. =)
Dreams of a 61-year old Singaporean
Posted by preview on May 5, 2011 in Main Stories | 41 Comments
I was born after World War Two. My father was an accounts clerk father and my mother, a homemaker. At 61, I’m considered a ‘senior’ Singaporean.
For the past weeks I have been thinking of Singapore, this place I call home.
As a child, I took the bus alone, from Jalan Bahagia to school at CHIJ in Victoria Street. The frequent breakdowns of the buses were moments of stress because it meant that the next bus would be jam packed, with some commuters even hanging from the doors and the harrassed conductors scolding everyone.
Water rationing was common and I was thankful I had strong brothers to carry those buckets of water home. The Orchard Road floods recently brought back memories of our terrace home in Jalan Bahagia which became flooded at least once every year and again my brothers proved useful. They helped Dad carry the furniture and fridge upstairs. Sometimes the waters came up too fast and the furniture had to be replaced. Jalan Bahagia then was a lovely place to stay. Yet, the constant stresses of the flooding caused my Dad, who was the most patient man I know, to say that he had enough! We later moved to a two-room flat in Toa Payoh, all nine of us cramped in the flat.
I was in CHIJ secondary by then. One of the fun things we did was to help each other in our studies. We did this naturally, no teachers tasked us to. But what I loved most about school was helping out at the annual fun fairs. My friends and I would go from class to class selling tickets to raffle a beautiful iced cake baked by someone’s mum. I think the proceeds went to charity.
When we were growing up, we didn’t have dependable public transport, we didn’t have a perfect water supply. We didn’t even have a dry house sometimes. Except for my elder brother, all my siblings and I are now married with children of our own. We live in our own homes with our children. Since then, I have watched Singapore grow to what it is today – an impressive city state with beautiful buildings and much greenery. There are gleaming trains and good infrastructure.
Externally it is a very impressive country, even more so with the MRT, the "Durian" and other structures. But sadly, within, I feel that the country is not so impressive.
Being a multiracial society, it had taken us years to slowly become a united people who see one another as Singaporeans first, race second. The increasing number of foreigners is taking its toll and it is not only on crowded train rides. I suddenly realised, some months ago that I no longer hear Singlish on the trains. I feel like our Singaporean identity is being slowly chipped away by the languages and presence of these throngs of people from other places. The original striving for "excellence" has become "competition" in all our schools. For students today competition has become part of their education ¬- competition with foreign students and competitions galore for most CCAs.
We have other social problems like the high cost of living and housing. Our young people work long hours, yet they are told that Singapore does not have enough talent. If that is so, then what is the purpose of all the expensive education our Singaporeans have received?
What struck me most during the rallies was the reaction of the Singaporeans to the speakers in the opposition parties. There was some rhetoric as can be expected but the response of the crowds to me showed the true state of our society – a people burdened, stifled and suffocated.
What has happened to our country? In my view, many wrong policies that focus on raising the GDP are affecting our society and unless changes are made soon I feel that Singapore will collapse. Our fellow citizens will either give up in apathy or totally rebel. Either response is disastrous for this beautiful home that we call Singapore.
One of my dreams is to see Singaporean children enjoying their childhood and their education, like we did growing up in the 1960s. Where school is a place where kids can be happy, not stressed and parents are able to come home from work early enough so the family can spend time playing and talking.
Growing up during those post-war years, we shared our poverty in the sense that we were all poor together. Since then, many of us have moved beyond poverty. Another of my dreams is that as Singapore moves into an even richer future, we will share our prosperity equally too.
As for myself, come 7th May, I will cast my vote so that my children and my grandchildren to come can live in a future where there are legitimate avenues of expression for them, a future where their voices matter when it comes to steering the course of the nation and where every Singaporean is able to lead a meaningful life. That is my final dream for this country I love and call home.

Cooking classes, cupcakes and mother's day
I have been sourcing cooking class for quite sometime. The 1st one I found was at community centre. The time of the class was too inconvenience for me. Hence, I didn't register for it.
After I completed my Spanish course, (only 1 term :P), I again sourced for cooking class. I found one at Holland V., another one at Jialei, Bugis.
Holland V. have Peranakan, Japanese, Western, Chinese, French, Italian, pastry and bakery classes. The 1st one that attracts me is the CUPCAKE!!! Haha... Yummy, sooo sweet~. (^_^) But the class costs $100++ for 2-3 hours, and only one lesson. It's very expensive, so I didn't register for it again. :P But I'll keep a look up for it because they offer a variety of cooking classes.
Jialei have Hong Kong, Peranakan, Chinese and bakery classes. For this, the class that attracts me is the Hong Kong dim sum. Hehe... (^.^) The class costs $40++ for 2-3 hours, one lesson too. All their course fees ranging from $40++ to $80++, which to me, it's much more cheaper and reasonable. Hmmm... I see when they are going to conduct the HK dim sum class. Then, I'm going to register for it. (^_-)
However, before I take up the HK dim sum class, I want to learn to bake cupcake. Because my very interest is still making cupcake. It's small, cute, nice, decorative and sweet. Hehe... :P I saw a picture of six cupcakes beautifully designed and was posted on Facebook two days ago. It was posted by one of my spanish classmates. I realized she had took up the cupcake workshop at Paisly & Cream, Little India. It was such a coincidence but a pity. Haha... If I knew long ago that she was interested, we could have gone for the class together. Anyway, I have to thank her. I didn't know about Paisly & Cream at all and they offered reasonable price and suitable timing. Paisly & Cream also have much more cupcakes variety to learn than any other baking classes and their course fees are kept at $100 per participant, not more or less. I'm smiling from ear to ear now. =] Keke...
I have plan now. After I have learnt to bake cupcakes, I'm going to give it to my mom. As a gift for mother's day! Bake it from my heart. (^_^)

After being so sick, I was afraid that I couldn't go for my jogging so fast and also afraid that my stamina would fade. But I went to jogging last night. To my surprise, my stamina is still there, not fading at all. Yeah! (^_-)Y
The feeling of detoxifying my body and burning my fat off is such a great feeling. (^v^)
